Sew Will I Contest

A lot of people are asking me if I will contest the publication of a new pattern if it ever gets published and especially on Craftsy. There is a simple answer.

Maybe.

My point has already been made. Without taking a penny in advance, I have published 8 patterns, created a membership site with restricted content levels and made all the puppets ready for filming.

I didn’t take a cent from you before I started either.

We have discussed in great detail on this site how you cannot get patents for bag components. Please do however do a search of the patent office looking for anything that substantiates their claims of patents, copyright etc. You will find none exists. A search of Craftsy will find an extensive range of bags that look similar to the ones we produce as well and all have been accused of being thieves, stalked, harassed etc., and yet their patterns remain because there is no patent, and there is no copyright.

It is just more rhetoric to the uneducated masses to let them know that they will not be beaten. They are the only ones that are right and righteous.  This is a competition for your money, but also for your attention. Like a spoiled 2 year old she is yelling more loudly, drawing more pictures to show you, breaking more toys and blaming her siblings for everything wrong that she has done. It is her game show. No-one else is allowed to play and if they do, they are beaten down beyond recognition.

Well I have been beaten down, but I still draw breath and hence, I still write.

Look for yourselves at what has and has not been produced and what you have and have not paid for and then decide for yourselves.

Carry on – and let fear guide you forward to action.
