Sewing Soap Opera

I LOVE a good soap opera. During 6.30 and 7.30 at night, no-one is allowed to call me and I don’t do any work. I sit and watch my stories. My name is Kathy and I have a soap opera addiction to 2 shows.

So what if someone thought that had a great idea for a soap opera about sewing? Could it become addictive, but more importantly, financially viable.

Soap operas are made up stories, embellished drama, to make you FEEL for their characters, even though you don’t actually know them, and they don’t even actually exist. You get caught up in it. It’s a welcome distraction from daily life.

So if someone starts a subscription based website that you have to pay to hear a whole lot of lies and stories, and you do, then a competitor will of course emerge.

The competitor will be better and based on real life not just stories. It will play the recordings of actual conversations that took place, ones where someone admitted that they wanted to start videos all over again for example.

I think real life shows are far more entertaining and disturbing than made up soap operas sometimes, do you?
